ABOUT THE SHOCK OF THE LIGHT
The Shock of the Light is a delicately told study of twinhood, and the shattering impact of war on two ordinary lives. Anglo-French twins Tessa and Theo have always had a deep bond, until Tessa leaves Cambridge to study at the Sorbonne, and the war sends them their separate ways – the RAF for Theo, clandestine operations behind enemy lines in France for bilingual Tessa. Two years later, only one of them comes home. Has their interwoven thread been severed for ever by the dark violence of war?
